Converting Visitor Visa to Work Permit in Canada
The Visitor to Work program in Canada allows foreign nationals who are already in Canada as visitors to apply for a work permit without having to leave the country. Key Features of the Atlantic Immigration Program
- Employer-Driven: The program is designed to help employers in Atlantic Canada hire qualified candidates for jobs they haven't been able to fill locally.
- Job Offer Requirement: You must receive a job offer from a designated employer in one of the Atlantic provinces.
- Provincial Endorsement: You need a referral letter from the Atlantic province where you'll be working.
- Temporary Work Permit: You can apply for a temporary work permit while your permanent residence application is being processed.
- Permanent Residence: Once your application is approved, you can apply for permanent residence.
Steps to Apply
- Get a Job Offer: Secure a job offer from a designated employer in one of the Atlantic provinces.
- Provincial Endorsement: Obtain a referral letter from the province where you'll be working.
- Apply for a Work Permit: Submit an application for a temporary work permit if needed.
- Submit Your Application: Apply for permanent residence with the necessary documents, including the provincial endorsement certificate.
- Settlement Plan: Connect with settlement services to get a settlement plan.
